happy 40th queen π
I have been listening to BeyoncΓ© and Destiny’s Child since 1998 ~ I vividly remember wanting darker hair so I could have BeyoncΓ© highlights, and acrylic nails. I would only wear DerΓ¨on. I had all the albums, even if it was another artist they had one song with. Black Is King gave me chills the whole way through, and i find myself in tears watching some parts. My daughter loves “brown skinned girl” and she knows it applies to all girls. She belts it out in the shower and on the way to school most days. She is beautiful, inside and out. in over 20 years she’s moved with grace in front of the world. She’s like a bright light. I’m thankful i got to live in the Beyhive era with a Bey Good movement.. happy birthday queen b. ✨
